"Thank you" to all of you that helped with the service project the last few weeks. I took the colored pictures and the sachets to the Heartreach office this week. They LOVED them. Know that you made someone's day brighter by sharing the love of Jesus through a service project. These pictures will help decorate their office and the sachets will be given to December clients.
It's the Christmas season! Here's a fun link to a Christmas wordsearch. Let us know if you try it out ... and if you beat the clock ....

Don't forget the Bible Bookmark drawing THIS Sunday, October 4th. The current verse is......
"The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”.

Prayer Focus for September & October
CHRIST THE KING BAPTIST CHURCH, ROSARITO, BAJA CALIFORNIA
1. With the rains that we have had this season, the roof of our children's classroom is very bad and everything inside is wet. We need to replace it with a new roof.
2. From the water that came in through the children's classroom, the wood floor is in very bad shape. It needs replaced, 4x8x3/4 boards. The floor is the roof of another classroom.
3. We are praying for a vehicle to pick up people so that they can come to the services. [Enrique's church picks up people for church who have no vehicle and are either too old or live too far away to walk. At times they have had a working van or a bus, which greatly facilitates this.]
4. For a group to come and visit us from your church. We love you very much. We miss you. We could use your presence. It would be a great support.
5. That God will supply the means for my wife to travel to Chacala to the pastors' conference this October. I would like her to accompany me as she could use the rest.
*The kids will be making a Bible Story quilt top for Enrique’s church during our service project time (between services). Our offering during these months will go toward the quilting and shipping costs.

We are having a great time in FISHing Crew! We've enjoyed getting caught up with our regulars and getting to know our new kids. As usual, we have amazing volunteers as well. If you haven't been by yet, come see us!
Our Father/Son event for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys has been moved to Saturday, October 17th. Mark your calendar - it will be a great morning!
This week we will continue to work on the Bible Story Quilt between services. This is our service project for the fall. After it is completed and quilted, it will be sent to our sister church in Mexico to help tell kids about Jesus.
Don't forget to work on your verse...
...This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.
Genesis 6:9

Happy Summer!
If you have any questions during the summer, please contact Jeana or Mandy. We'll be around most of the summer. We will be putting together your curriculum for next year, planning fun events and activities, recruiting special speakers and leaders and finding creative ways to share the story of Jesus.
We'll be working on the blog during the summer. If there is anything you want added please let us know. We are hoping this will eliminate the need for newsletters. We are still experimenting . . . but will have it finalized by fall.
