Our year is almost over! Come join us for our last few weeks. We have puppets, a lesson on why we should believe the Bible, our Trivial Pursuit review game, extra time with your small group leaders and our final bookmark and devotional drawings. Our last Sunday is May 16th. Then it's on to Vacation Bible School and attending church with your parents. We'll start up again in August.

What an amazing Easter weekend! We pray that it was a meaningful time for you and your family.

FISHing Crew meets again this Sunday. We'll have a new verse. We will also have a bookmark drawing. Don't forget to turn in your bookmarks!

The scrapbook (our current service project) is still under construction. We would love to have your help between services.

Remember the Bible Story quilt we completed a few months ago for James and Ella Embree? James' mom was able to take it to Africa. It was hand delivered last week. We heard from Ella - she loves it and is excited to start using it with kids. :-)

AND - don't forget to pray for our new prayer focus. Pat and Nancy Cohen are working on translating the Bible into a Southeast Asian language. Come work on the service project for them between services this week.

Thank you to everyone that came to our Fun Family Olympic Night. We had a great time! We'll post pictures soon. We had family banners, an Olympic "Torch", a parade of families, lots of fun competitions, food and prizes. It was a "Olympic" night! :-)

We are having a Bible Bookmark drawing this week. Don't forget to turn in your bookmarks.

We will be introducing our new Prayer Focus this week. Watch for details for the next Service Project. It will be coming soon.

This past Sunday we learned about the "I AMs" of Christ. Who did He claim to be? (i.e. the Way, the Truth, the Light) Ask your kids what they learned....

Our February verse was introduced. Can your kids show you the motions and explain what it means?

Everyone who lives in Me and believes in Me will never ever die. John 11:26a

Don't forget to pray for the Embrees! Check out their blog for an update on their ministry in Africa.

The kids learned about Prophecies about the Deliverer (mainly from Isaiah 52:13-53:12 & Psalms 22). It was a great reminder about how God fulfilled prophecies by sending Jesus Christ. Here are some questions to go over with them:

• What are some of God’s promises?
• Why was Jesus an extra special promise from God?
• What can you do to shape your life so your life will thank God for his greatest promise to you?

We had a GREAT time at God's Girls Get-a-Way! Thank you to all of you who attended ... all 60 of you. Wow! :-)

FISHing Crew is back to normal attendance after Christmas break. We are having a good time working through the Bible. Last week we learned about Jonah. Here are some questions to ask your kids....

• Why did Jonah disobey God?
• How did God show compassion to Jonah?
• Why was Jonah mad?
• Have you ever felt like complaining, like Jonah did? What happened?
• If someone doesn’t know God, how do you think your anger will help him or her?
• How would your love help him or her?

This coming week we will be studying the prophecies of Jesus. We will also be starting our next service project ... a Bible Story Quilt for the Embrees. This project will be available to work on between services.

Our January Memory verse is....

Happy New Year! :-) We hope the new year finds you happy and healthy. We have some fun things planned for FISHing Crew this semester. Plan to come Sunday mornings as often as you can!

It's time for God's Girls Get-a-Way!!! This is a favorite event for girls grades 3-5 and their moms (or mom-substitutes). Come join us on Saturday, January 16th from 10:00 - 4:00. Registration is $35. You may sign up this Sunday, or by contacting Mandy. It will be a great day filled with worship, special speakers, a craft, great food, snacks, special gifts, doorprizes and more. You don't want to miss it!
